Painted chairs - French look

I found these couple of chairs on Ebay and I was thrilled to start!. You wont believe how dirty they were. I cleaned them with sugar soap and the cloth was literaly black!.
This was my first project! I used Annie Sloan paints, 2 coats of Creme and then one of Paris Grey.

I love the finish, I love to see the Cream color through the grey

I'm very pleased with these chairs, they really make a difference in a room!.

  2. I one time had an idea of getting a whole bunch of different older wooden chairs and painting them all a bit different and funky. I found one chair at a garage sale... then another.. and that was about as far as I got, finding older chairs in good condition was fairly tough, I never even thought of Ebay. I have seen some fantastic restorations of old chairs made funky and at the time that is what I wanted, although now I think about it, I like this approach better, making old chairs new but looking old and classic.
    Great blog.

    1. Hi Brenda, thanks for your visit!. Painting old chairs in different colors is something that also appeals to me. As this was my very first project with the AS paints, I was excited to try the French look, they look fab!. Thanks for your words xx
